Our classmate, Tim Barnes (75), is in a very tough situation right now. He is on disability and draws a check once a month that barely covers his living necessities and sometimes, by the end of the month, he often relies on his fishing and the generosity of his neighbors. He drives an old car that is in need of a tune-up and other things that my husband, Chris, is willing to look at and fix what he can for cost of parts. His boat, which is his main outlet of enjoyment, has quit running. You may or may not know his story, but he fell a number of years ago and severely injured his back. He has rods holding him together and is in pain 24/7. He has other health issues and I know personally he needs dental work done but it's hard for him to get anywhere now other than in Dover. He has tried to get assistance but it is limited as to where he can go and usually the waiting lists are too long. Debi Jones Priest and I have made him our mission (unbeknownst to him) and we NEED YOUR HELP!! We set $2000.00 as a goal but we'd love to surpass it! We can't post it because we are going behind his back. He is very depressed and to know his fellow Bobcats care would be such a blessing!! If you can help, any amount at all, we'd appreciate it.
