urgent support for sick multi-racial queer femme

Jenny is a multi-racial queer working class femme from Oregon who has been experiencing debilitating pain, severe GI issues, sudden and rapid cognitive decline, memory loss, aphasia, and significant balance issues. She had to visit the ER (on the urgent advice of her doctor) in early January to get two emergency CAT scans, and was ordered to do a follow up MRI. The MRI shows an increase of white matter on her brain (inflammation) as well as a blood clot. While it is helpful to have any information about what could be causing this alarming rise of symptoms, it is also potentially alarming information and could indicate a stroke has happened. Jenny needs to navigate insurance to continue to get care, see a neurologist, potentially start occupational therapy, and get further testing. 

She works at a local University as a Grants and Agreements Analyst. Her career has focused on the intersections of racial identity, place, and higher education. She has previously worked with first generation college students and has always centered supporting pathways for underrepresented students into higher ed. Jenny is also an incredible instructor-she was supposed to be teaching this Winter, but had to decline due to increasing symptoms. Not only was this challenging for her professionally, but it resulted in a loss of income for her. 

While Jenny has healthcare through her employer, the costs are still continuing to skyrocket. The ER visit alone was hundreds of dollars, and she needs to continue to access care, get labs and scans done, and is not able to work much at this time. In addition to this, some of her providers she has to pay out of pocket to see.

Jenny needs help financially to assist in paying for her growing medical bills, taking time off work as needed, and overall supporting her in this time. Due to her balance issues she's using a cane currently and can't drive most of the time-so even Uber money to and from her appointments is so helpful.
