Housing help for Laura

Laura is a survivor. But she could use your help. First, she was diagnosed with cancer. She underwent brain surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. They weren't able to eradicate it completely, but the cancer that remains isn't growing or spreading. Then, due to the cancer and the treatments to save her life, she lost most of her sight. Enough so that she's legally blind and uses a cane for assistance. So she's not able to drive or work. And if all of that wasn't enough, she's now in the middle of a divorce and is not receiving any support. In order for the Canadian government to force her wasband to provide support, they have had to sell the home they jointly owned and so she's facing being out on the street with nowhere to go. She doesn't currently have an income (though she's a wonderful artist and will be starting a Patreon campaign in the near future) and could use your help.

The goal represents a year of rentrent (at $1,000 a month). And while that seems like a lot, we have no idea at this point how long it will take for the court to rule on her support, what amount of support she'll get, or what she'll end up seeing from the sale of their house. Even if all of the above went in her favor, she's still looking at an uphill battle to get a roof over her head with no savings or dependable income.
