Dear Friends,
Elena makes her living by cooking and selling food. In additon to selling her food, she also cooks for those in need. She is also the care-giver and angel to two wonderful elders (my friends parents who are both 90+ years old). Sadly, much of the Island of Puerto Rico is still without power and without a generator she has no way to cook food and to store it.
I'm hoping that we can raise funds to cover the cost of a generator for her, as it looks like it will be many months before power on the Island is back up and running. We were able to find one on the Island for $2000 which appears to be the best option given Elena's and the people she feeds urgent needs.
