Help Andy Recover

Dear Friends of Andy Woodard,

Last month and unexpectedly, my brother Andy had a debilitating heart attack while he and I were visiting our sister Judy in Indio. We are lucky that he is still with us since this was so severe that his great team of doctors have determined that he requires a litany of pre-surgical in-clinic treatment regimes to help his heart tissue recover and grow stronger before they can successfully perform a bypass operation in several months

As our great system would have it, insurance covers the major part of surgery, recovery and diagnostic tests, yet does not cover the newer pre-surgical clinical treatments that are most needed now, and they are beyond what Andy can afford completely. Even as our family helps him, Andy will need additional resources for these treatments as he works on preparing his heart muscles in advance of this life-saving surgery.

If you are like many who know and love Andy, dropping his very strong independent streak to accept help from others is a difficult choice, but now one that could help save and prolong his life. As his brother, I am asking any of you who can to join myself and his family and friends in supporting him at this crucial juncture with anything that you can comfortably contribute. We can all together make a big difference in the speed, strength and success of what comes next for him as he prepares for this surgery.
