Medical/Dental bills

Sharon desperately needs your help. She has a constant/continuous migraine type headache caused by TMJD (temporomandibular joint disorder, caused by arthritis, which was diagnosed by Dr Harold Gelb) with its radiating pain into many other parts of her body. She has diabetes which is going untreated, and she was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and venous insufficiency which caused her to become and was declared legally disabled. She also has sciatica and deteriorated disc disease in her lower back along with spinal stenosis. She had dental work by two different dental professionals who told us they understood the issue of TMJ, but it turns out that they did not and so made her TMJ condition much worse. In addition to that, she is left with an implant that is infected but she cannot take antibiotics to fight it. The result is she can do very limited chewing and only soft food and what she cannot chew has to be mashed like baby food; even so, the chewing usually causes her migraine to rage out of control. This has forced her to resort to a diet (dairy, bread, broccoli and several fruits) that only makes her neuropathy and diabetes worse, and is not nourishing her so her health is deteriorating and she is losing weight.

In addition to all the above, Sharon is suffering with insomnia, three or four nights a week she does not sleep at all and the other nights-one maybe two hours and that is all. She is also on several powerful drugs for her pain but they are preventing her from having other necessary procedures done. She has a severely perforated eardrum that needs to be replaced. She needs cataract surgery. She needs to have a colonoscopy (which she has never had) because she has health symptoms that need to be investigated. But, she cannot have these procedures done while she is still taking these drugs.

Right now, the solution is to change her diet which must be dairy-free, gluten-free and low-carbohydrate. Treatment for the TMJD (which is slowly being destroyed by her arthritis in the TMJ) and correction of the bad dental work (by Dr Michael Gelb and his team of doctors), would enable her to begin eating more like a normal person and eat the diet necessary to fight diabetes and neuropathy and also have a positive effect on her other health problems. Then she could address the issue of eliminating the drugs she is taking (some of which she should not be on at her age).

The expense for this solution (correction for TMJD and bad dental work and then followed by the therapy for her neuropathy) is way beyond our financial capability and this has become so urgent. In addition to the expense is the fact that I would have to take time off of work for the traveling and to assist in changing Sharon’s diet. I do have a couple of weeks of vacation pay I could use but after that I would need financial support to take any more time off. And so I ask, I plead for your financial help. Please give whatever you can! Every donation, no matter what the amount, will help and be greatly appreciated. Even if all you can do is share this page, please do so. It will be so very greatly appreciated!!
