This page was set up by concerned friends to raise medical and support funds for Gene Nelson, who was diagnosed with Gastric Cancer in April of this year-- The shocking news came when he went in to check out something that, to Gene, seemed simply discomfort.

The road has been tough, as you might imagine , and once self employed , Gene quickly found himself in no position to work and, thru much of the journey, attend to basic daily routines without help from friends, family and medical staff.

As the months go by and Gene continues to experience the hills and valleys of recovery, and staving off resurgence of the Cancer and complications, bills continue to mount. With sad hearts Gene lost his battle to Cancer after fighting so hard to Never Never Never Give Up! Our hope was to raise as much as we could to off set unforeseen housing and daily support expenses that are imminent. Our hope still is to raise as much as we can to help the family with unforseen expenses from medical to monthly bills that have complied since his diagnoses in April. We also have the hope to raise enough to put a side for his only son Lucas's education.
