Hey, y’all! So as many of you may know, my name is Chi Chi. My pronouns are she/her • they/them. I’m a multidisciplinary creative activist. I am passionate about creative/art activism because I think it’s a really beautiful way to inspire change & healing. I recently moved to Chicago from Minneapolis. I was working at the Walker Art Center but decided to quit and move to Chicago without having work lined up because working at a PWI that doesn’t really value me was detrimental to my mental health and my lease was coming to an end and I’ve been putting off moving to Chicago because of the pandemic so I thought why not take a chance. Unfortunately, my savings are deteriorating & I haven’t found work so I am seeking community support. Mental illness sucks because it makes it hard to find work. I am going to go back to therapy soon so that should help.. I am hoping to raise $2,000+ for groceries, being ahead on my rent, self-care tools, etc... Thanks for taking the time to read this.
