8-18-25 - most recent update - The kids arrived at Vanderbilt and were in the prep room and the staff found a skin infection and postponed the surgery. We are trusting God that He has this and in His time they will do the surgery. Another letdown is the emotional rollercoaster I wish our kids didn’t have to navigate but this is life. Please keep them in your prayers!
In less than 24 hours, Adi will undergo her heart procedure. We can’t thank you enough for all your prayers, emotional and financial support through this. We know God has the ultimate plan and all things will go according to His will.
New update - Adi ran fever and was ill this week-end! Pray God lets her stay infection free so surgery not postponed again!
Update on Adi: bloodwork came back and confirmed she has a cold so surgery has been moved to 8/18. We really appreciate all the prayers, support, and shares to help.
Hello, my name is Tammy, and I’m reaching out today on behalf my 4-year-old granddaughter, Adilynn, who was born with Down Syndrome and a congenital heart defect—a hole in her heart that now requires open-heart surgery at Vanderbilt Hospital.
Adilynn is joyful, full of life, and loves playing with her big brother and sister. Her parents, Dillon and Lyndsey, have done everything to prepare for this moment—from helping her gain enough weight for surgery to managing visits with specialists and therapists. They recently learned that the surgery couldn't be done through a heart catheter as hoped; instead, she needs open-heart surgery, followed by a week in ICU and nearly two months of recovery.
Before the surgery, she needed urgent dental work to prevent infection—a $2,000 expense they had to cover out-of-pocket, with more costs to come for anesthesia and hospital fees.
Now, they face even more financial strain: travel to a hospital 4 hours away, lodging, lost income, and ongoing bills like daycare to hold her spot during recovery. Although, they have medical insurance their out of pocket maximum is approximately 8k, which does not include the dental charges of 2k, plus travel time, accommodations, and food while at the hospital. At this point - we are uncertain of all the additional expenses.
We’re asking for your help—any amount will make a difference. Most of all we covet your prayers for our family during this time. Your donation will go directly toward Adilynn’s medical costs (what's not covered) and support for her family during this critical time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support.
