My name is Diane Anglin, and I am writing on behalf of a young man who has become like another son to our family—Zyriq May. Zyriq is best friends with my son, Denver, and during high school, he even lived with us for a short time while attending Gill St. Bernard’s School. He has truly become part of our family.
Zyriq grew up in Newark, New Jersey. His life has not been easy—when he was just 6 years old, his mother was tragically murdered due to domestic gun violence. Raised by loving family members, Zyriq refused to let tragedy define him. He stayed focused on his grades and sports, determined to push forward and build a brighter future.
In 2024, he proudly graduated from Gill St. Bernard’s School, and today, he is entering his sophomore year at Rutgers University in Newark. To make ends meet, Zyriq works construction and valet jobs while borrowing from family to pay his school expenses. He has done everything in his power to stay on track, but he now needs extra financial help to cover the costs of tuition.
Beyond academics, Zyriq is a typical young man who enjoys sports, music, video games, and summer trips to the Jersey Shore. But more than anything, he is driven by a determination to succeed against all odds.
We are asking for your help. Your donation will go directly toward Zyriq’s college tuition fees so that he can continue his education and stay on the path to success. No amount is too small—every contribution makes a difference.
If you can find it in your heart to support this beautiful young man, we would be deeply grateful. Thank you for believing in Zyriq and helping him continue his journey.
Please donate and share this campaign. Together, we can make sure Zyriq’s story is one of triumph, resilience, and success.
With gratitude,
Diane & Kyle Anglin
