Hi friends and community,

We're raising funds for Zyra's gender affirming surgery happening this March and are asking for your support. This procedure is a medically necessary revision of a previous gender affirming surgery and will be a huge step for Zyra towards relieving her gender dysphoria, allowing her to live more comfortably in her body and more safely in a world that is increasingly hostile to transgender people.

For those of you who don't know her, Zyra is a financially independent, self-employed tattoo artist, painter, and mother to a perfect orange cat named Gigi. While Zyra is fortunate enough to have insurance cover the procedure itself, she will not be able to work for the entire month of March while she recovers, which is why we are asking for your help.

All contributions to the GoFundMe will go directly towards her rent for the month that she is recovering, transportation to and from her surgery and post op appointments, groceries, and any medications she may need during recovery.

Asking for money is always complicated, especially during a recession.
