Help Zyler Thompson in His Fight Against Guillain-Barré Syndrome

Hi, my name is Sydney, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend (though claimed as a brother) Zyler, who is currently hospitalized in the ICU in Sioux Falls battling Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).

Zyler has always been a source of positivity and support in our lives, but now he is facing an incredibly challenging time. Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that impacts 1 in 100,000 people, causing the immune system to attack the nerves, leading to muscle weakness and paralysis. This disorder can be triggered by many things, and researchers still do not have a full understanding of it; but once it sets in, it takes over rapidly. Zyler has been hospitalized since October 29th and is undergoing extensive treatment and hopefully rehabilitation soon, but the road to recovery is long and difficult.

The medical expenses are mounting, and on top of that, Zyler may need assistance with ongoing rehabilitation and care once he leaves the hospital. We are aiming to raise $15,000-$20,000 to help cover medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and any necessary adjustments to their home for a safe recovery.
