Hi everyone, my name is Zydae Joyner and I am 26 years old. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer on April 18th, 2022. I am also pregnant - 21 weeks as of today, June 3rd 2022

I have Invasive Mucinous Carcinoma and it is inflammatory. Due to my frequent pain spells (some days 20-30 minutes apart and other days 1 hour apart) I am unable to work. I am a business owner (School of Music in Z Major) and I cannot teach my music students at this time which is leaving me with less monthly income.

My lump was first found back in September 2021 with my doctors in NYC during a routine checkup. My OBGYN said it was a cyst and that it was "benign and non-cancerous". Two months later, in November, my cyst/lump grew and became a little painful. I reached out to my doctor to take a second look - they brought me into the office and did NOT take a second look. Instead they sat me down and said "women get lumps sometimes" and told me to take an Evening Primrose Oil pill and to wait for the lump to decrease in size. There was no biopsy, no breast ultrasound, nothing. I didnt even know I needed these things until 2 months later when I saw a differwnt doctor who actually did those things and was able to properly diagnose me. The initial doctor did not take me seriously because I was 25 years old and had just turned 25 just 3.5 months before finding the breast lump.

In January 2022, I became pregnant. Pregnancy hormones caused my lump and my pain to increase rapidly and significantly. About 80% of my right breast had become hard now and quite painful, so I went to see another doctor (I moved to NC with my boyfriend, Jeremy, in January 2022). Since I had just moved, I didn't have a new doctor yet and it took me a while to find someone in my insurance. Once I found a doctor, they didn't have any available appointment for over a month out, so I had to wait a while to get seen. All the while, my breast kept getting harder and more painful. Finally, April 15th I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help support me financially as I am out of work and my boyfriend and I are expecting our first child in October. We would love assistance either with baby supplies or financially to help cover monthly bills and medical expenses
