Hello I’m Laura Bellar, Zulimar Cordova Perez’ Zebra sister - I have the same rare disease, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, that she does. In the last year alone, Zuly’s had 6 surgeries, 20 colorectal surgeries in 2 years and countless hospital stays.

With the ever rising cost of living, inflation, and trying to subsist on disability and her husband's income as a bus driver for Disney, they have experienced such frequent money struggles that they have lost their home.

Despite living in the same apartment for years, located close to Disney property and their jobs, they were evicted this week after falling only 30 days behind in rent. She filed an emergency stay with the court system but it was not ruled upon due to backups and they were given two hours to load as much as the maintenance crew would hand out to us into a U-Haul and storage unit her mother provided them. They have no family in the area; her mother lives in a studio apartment and her other family members are out of town or even the country.

She doesn’t even have a wheelchair accessible vehicle to get around in and uses city and medical insurance transports to get to work and medical facilities for care.

recently, despite needing additional surgeries she has worked (in considerable pain) as a teacher for Oak Ridge High School, teaching ESL classes. She has not yet received her first paycheck.

please help her get rehoused, fed and transportation until she can get back on her feet… every little bit helps, even if it’s only five dollars!
