Help Zulu Get Back on the Bike

Donation protected
Howdy, Friends & Supporters,

Today I am supposed to be making my way around the epic Peaks Challenge Falls Creek course . A 230+ KM cycling event I've been training and getting my body and mind right for over the last six months..

Instead I'm in the emergency department in Albury hospita nursing my aching wounds and lamenting what could have been..

A high speed spill whilst cruisily descending from Falls just after registration yesterday has left me with a host of injuries, thousands of dollars worth of damage to my bike, a shattered phone and a bloody, battered n bruised up body.

Months and months of preparation, time and money investment literally and figuratively down the drain. (I tumbled head first into a bull ants nest as in a five foot high, 3 foot wide drain hole on the side of road, most of the impact taken by my helmet, and my pelvis / left hip and sacrum)

The Impact:
The fallout extends beyond physical injuries; the emotional sadness, disappointment and deflation of not being able to participate in today's event, and inability to train (my main form of mental n health care and antidepressant) but also the medical expenses, the sunk cost of event registration, and the need to replace essential items like my bike, helmet and phone (which is my main tool for income generation)

Why I’m Reaching Out:
Generosity, being of service, and supporting others have always been my guiding star. Reaching out and asking for help is not something I'm great at. Yet here I am, humbly requesting your support to navigate this challenging time.

Please can you help by giving generously and helping me out whilst I'm out of action

How You Can Help:
Your contributions will directly assist in covering immediate financial needs, aiding in my recovery, and helping me literally get back on the bike.

My Commitment:
In gratitude for your generosity, I pledge to approach my recovery with utmost dedication, determination and to train my buttocks off to ensure I'm back again next year even better prepared to perform and finish Peaks Challenge

Thank you:
Each contribution, no matter its size, is a profound gesture of support, solidarity and kindness. I'm in tears just feeling n noticing just how much this has hit me, and how much it would mean to receive any help at all with this

With the deepest appreciation, thanks and gratitude

PS. Despite the sadness, disappointment and deflation and physical, emotional and financial pain I'm in right now. I'm also totally filled with gratitude, relief and thankfulness. I'm the knowing that things could be a LOT worse, for the help of the passer by that helped me into town, fitty my loving partner and kids and the wonderful staff here at the hospital and the ambulance paramedics for looking after me so well.. I've never experienced such high level shock before, which is slowly releasing as I rest and mend and focus on healing.

How funds will be used: As mentioned mostly to cover out of pocket medical costs and recover expenses from the trip. The big one will be to fix (more likely replace) my bike which is unrideable, and the event fee
