Mutual Aid Request for one of our own Zulie, mother to a beautiful daughter Ema, 10 & dedicated veteran community organizer from The Bronx needs our collective help to overcome this housing hardship she’s currently facing.

What’s Happening?

9 months ago, Zulie started withholding rent due to hazardous living conditions that have yet to be remedied by the building’s management. Despite her various attempts to have them address the necessary repairs they have decided to take her to housing court.

Now, we all know living in NYC is not easy, especially in this climate for a single mother on a lone salary, basic necessities like food, clothes, utilities end up taking priority and rent for the unsuitable living conditions or even looking for affordable housing elsewhere take a backburner.

Now we’re reaching out to our community to help her move forward with this imminent court date and make her navigate this nightmare feel a little less burdening.
