Help Me (Zubi) Get the URGENT Dental Care I Need
Hello humans and pet guardians! My name is Zubi, and I’m a 9 year old (as of October 30th) female black/grey domestic long haired kitty cat! It feels a little vulnerable to be asking for help, but I am in urgent need of some expensive dental care.
My guardian is a bit shy about asking — they said if it were just for them, they probably wouldn’t. But they love me very much and hope to get me healthy again. A kind friend of my guardian convinced them and reminded them that it’s okay to ask for help sometimes.
A few months ago, my guardian noticed I was having trouble with my teeth. I have to admit I haven’t been the most compliant with them trying to help me in various vet-approved ways. Things got worse recently, so they took me to a vet appointment. Two appointments and over $400 later, the pet dental vet said I need a $3,000 procedure ASAP! Two of my teeth are badly infected and have to be removed, and I’ll also need a full cleaning to stop more problems from developing! If this doesn’t get treated now, the infection can spread into my blood and I could… die!
It couldn’t have come at a harder time. My guardian had just started a full-time job but then the whole agency had layoffs and doesn’t qualify for any assistance. Before that, they were working part-time while recovering from their own medical challenges, including surgery!
Through it all, we’ve been there for each other. I keep them company and stay optimally cute, and they make sure I have everything I need. Now, my guardian is doing everything they can to get me healthy again.
Any help at all, even just sharing my story, means so much to both of us. Thank you for reading and caring.
With love and purrs,
Zubi (and my guardian)
