Hi! My name is Charity and I am starting this to help a dear friend of mine whose daughter, Zowie, was recently diagnosed with HSP or Henoch-Schönlein Purpura.

HSP is an autoimmune blood vessel disorder causing inflammation (vasculitis) in small vessels, leading to bleeding in the skin (purpura rash), joints (arthritis), intestines (abdominal pain), and kidneys (blood in urine).

Zowie was recently transferred to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital up in Grand Rapids to be monitored as the hospitals closer to home didn’t know how to help. Because of this transfer, Zowie’s dad is not able to work due to him being home with her three sisters. Karly, Zowie’s mom, has been with her from hospital to hospital and is also not working.
