Help Zosia Prove That Money Doesn't Make the Rider

Hello, my name is Zosia and I am in need of some help gathering funds for an upcoming competition. I am an avid equestrian and have been for my entire life, but the cost has often been a hindrance and made my ability to compete at higher levels nearly impossible. I love my sport very much, but I am the first to admit it is highly elitist and it’s hard for anyone other than the upper class to succeed in the sport. Once you get good enough, competitions become more expensive and if you can’t afford them, there’s no way for you to progress further. I have worked for as long as I’ve been able, in order to keep doing the thing I love most, and I want to be able to go as far as I can in my sport.

One of the largest competitions in the nation takes place in my hometown of Traverse City, Michigan, and it is the perfect opportunity for me to compete at the level I aim to reach. I have been going to Great Lakes Equestrian Festival as a spectator since I was a child, and have always dreamed of competing there one day. Last summer, this dream became a reality— thanks to a wonderful anonymous sponsor that covered the fees— and it only increased my intense drive to become a better rider and be more competitive within my sport. Additionally, I want to show the world that being an equestrian should be accessible for all income levels— after all, money doesn’t make the rider.

For this reason and many others, I am asking for help to achieve my goals.
