A few days ago, my dog Zorro—my best friend, my adventure buddy, and the heart of my home—was bitten by a rattlesnake. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. He was rushed to the emergency animal hospital and spent two days in critical care, fighting through antivenom treatments, IV fluids, and constant monitoring.

Thanks to the incredible vets, Zorro is alive and healing—but the total cost of his emergency care came to over $7,000.
