Help Zooey Overcome IMHA

Hello friends! Unfortunately, our beloved girl,Zooey is fighting an autoimmune disorder., IMHA. 

Friday night, we rushed Zooey to Long Island Veterinary Specialists where she was
diagnosed with (IMHA) Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia.

She was in critical condition, where she
received expensive treatments to save her life.

Zooey’s IMHA has no known cause.

IMHA occurs when the immune system attacks and
destroys oxygen-carrying red blood cells (RBC),
leading to symptoms including exhaustion, weakness, and panting.

This is devastating because it acts rapidly and
requires costly treatments, such as blood transfusions and medications. Zooey has
changed dramatically, she has lost her appetite and  has difficulty moving, but she
remains sweet and content.

We adopted Zooey just over a year ago and she is only 7 years old. I would love nothing more than to give her the best palliative care, as well as any medications to
help her overcome this fatal condition.

I’ve done my best to financially support Zooey’s medical costs, but as of now, I cannot
afford anymore treatment.
