Today was an emotional roller coaster for our family. Zoey, my family member's beloved pet, was attacked by a coyote and somehow survived. She suffered a broken hip, multiple lacerations, and blood in her urine. After rushing to the hospital, Zoey received emergency care, including a catheter, bandages, and strong medication to keep her comfortable. At one point, we truly thought we were going to lose her. I was at the dentist with the kids when it all happened, and everyone was crying as we rushed to the hospital. I even said words no pet owner ever wants to say, thinking there would be no quality of life after something this severe. But then—hope. With the help of my sweet niece’s referral, who worked for the incredible doctor, Dr. Garcia at Harborside Hospital, Zoey was given a chance. Dr. Garcia believes Zoey will make a full recovery because she’s young and strong. She has a long road ahead—hip surgery scheduled next week, healing, and recovery won’t be easy—but we’re holding onto faith and taking it one day at a time. Zoey is a fighter. And today, Zoey lives. Please keep her in your prayers and consider supporting her recovery. Any help means the world to our family as we take this one day at a time.
