If you live in the Bellew Ave. area in Watertown, you’ve probably seen Zoey and her mama out for their daily walks. Zoey is a gentle, 15-year-old dog who brings smiles to everyone she meets. She and her mama are a familiar sight in the neighborhood, always spreading a little joy wherever they go.

On March 5th, something heartbreaking happened. Zoey was attacked by an off-leash dog, and as a result, she lost one of her eyes. No pet or pet parent should have to go through something like this, especially not Zoey, who has been such a sweet presence in our community for so many years. The vet bills from this incident have been overwhelming for her mama, who is doing everything she can to help Zoey heal and feel safe again.
