Help Zoëy get life changing equipment for her Cerebral Palsy

Hi, this is Ben, Zoëys dad, I am here on behalf of my beautiful little girl, Zoëy is 2 and a half years old and has cerebral palsy, she is unable to stand or walk unaided, and requires AFO leg braces and a mobilty frame.

From as early as 6 months, myself and my wife Joanne noticed Zoëy was struggling to meet her milestones, doctors put it down to a possible delayed response however, at the age of 9 months old Zoëy was still struggling to lift her head up, she could not roll over or sit up. Each milestone got later and later, since then we've had a long up hill battle trying to get her diagnosed, this involved many times presenting at hospital, letters to TDs and even the newspaper. Finally at the age of 2 years one month, Zoëys MRI scan confirmed Zoëy had been born with Cerebral Palsy, having suffered brain damage on both sides.

Due to the ongoing healthcare crisis, long waiting lists and staff shortages in the Child Disability Network, Zoëy has not received the therapies she badly needs, the only physiotherapy that Zoëy receives is from me and my wife at home.

Due to these shortfalls in the health care system, and limited services available to children with Cerebral palsy, her leg stiffness and curvature has been getting progressively worse. There are very few places available that offer intensive therapy to assist with Cerebral Palsy, however there is a life changing tool called Galileo which is used for rehabilitation and training to help improve muscle tone, it can also decrease complications of long term immobility due to chronic medical conditions and is key to giving her the best quailty of life.

Only available to be purchased from Germany through the galileo Therapy UK for €6500, along with the cost of the intensive therapy sessions and training for my wife and I, to allow us to provide Zoëy with home physiotherapy. This equipment will be invaluable for Zoëy, in helping with her pain, stiffness and the possibility of one day walking unaided. Unfortunately we cannot afford this at this stage.
