Help Zoey fight against FIP and live a long and healthy life

Hello, my name is Jay and I am a student and cat mom to my precious girl, Zoey. I started this GofundMe to help with Zoey's treatment bills for her recently diagnosis of Feline Infectious Peritonitis, which used to be a death sentence for cats until recently. The prognosis without treatment is grim and cats likely only last a month without it, however treatment is able to help them make a full recovery with a high percentage of success.

Zoey is my 2 year old tuxedo baby and until now she was a perfectly healthy cat. She was actually quite the foodie compared to my other two cats Cosmo and Mocha. Late June 2025 I began to notice major weight loss and Zoey's spine was more prominent than before. She also was more lethargic and had no desire to play or eat. I immediately took Zoey to her regular veterinarian and we assumed she was dealing with a bad upper respiratory infection and the culprit for the lack of appetite was her stuffed nose. Zoey was put on Metacam, then later Clavamox. After a few days of being on Clavamox, I noticed no improvements to her condition, so Zoey was put on Doxycycline. Once again, no luck.. her condition was only worsening with a greater lack of appetite and lethargy. Most of the days while on trial of these medications, Zoey slept, and slept, and slept. I attempted to get as much calories into her as possible, however it still did not feel significant.

Yesterday (2025/07/14), I took Zoey into the vet for bloodwork and an X-ray. I received the terrible news that my baby was likely to have FIP which broke me. I had already tragically lost my cat Mocha to Saddle Thrombus this year and I could not handle losing another one of my babies.
According to the vet, her one kidney was very enlarged/inflamed and she has an abnormal amount of fluid in her. She is also facing anemia. My vet concluded that she is likely to have the dry form of FIP and recommended me to a new clinic that provides the treatment. We did a consultation at the new location the same day and was given an approximate total of 3k for her 12 week treatment. A weeks worth of the GS-441524 oral liquid costs $227. GS-441524 is the main medication to help cure Zoey of her disease. Zoey was prescribed Mirataz and Cerenia as well to aid with her nausea and appetite which added up to $90. Additonally, Zoey will be receiving frequent bloodwork tests from the vet to see if the treatment is working which will bump up the expenses.

All funds will be going directly to Zoey's vet bills and supplemental food. I will provide updates on how my Zoey is doing with pictures.
Any amount donated helps a ton and will help her get the recovery she desperately needs! Sharing is also greatly appreciated. Please keep my Zoey in your thoughts, she means so much to me and I don't want to lose two of my babies within a year. This diagnosis has been beyond stressful and any donation with greatly help and ease my stress.

Thank you so much,

Jay T.
