Zoey’s passion for art has reached a new milestone! She has been selected for the Visual Arts program at CSSSA this summer. It’s a highly selective program (only about one-third of applicants are accepted!), and it’s a wonderful opportunity for her to grow as an artist. We are asking for friends and family to help us sponsor her attendance. Thank you for being part of her cheering section! Tuition is due May 13th.

Zoey has been at this for a long time! It all started back in elementary school when one of her teachers worked on-on-one with her in the early mornings knitting. That little spark really stuck, and during the COVID lockdowns, Zoey channeled her energy into teaching herself to sew. She took to it so naturally that by last year, she managed to make her own prom dress from scratch, entirely without a pattern.

Lately, she has been expanding her skills by mastering the wheel in ceramics classes at our local community college and sharing her paintings with the community. It’s been incredible to watch her evolve from those first knitting loops to entering art competitions and seeing her pieces featured in local exhibits. Her hard work is truly paying off, as she is currently preparing to be a featured artist in the Truckee Art Show this June.
