I’m reaching out for help for a very special little cat named Zoe.

Zoe is a sweet stray who showed up outside my home a few weeks ago and never really left. For the past 3–4 weeks, she’s stayed close, and over time she’s completely won my heart. She’s incredibly gentle, loving, and just wants to be near people.

A few days ago, I noticed she started drooling. At first it seemed minor, but by yesterday it became severe. It was clear something was wrong, and I couldn’t ignore it. I made the decision to take her to the vet right away because I didn’t want her to suffer or risk it being something serious.

Zoe has now been diagnosed with stomatitis, a very painful condition that causes severe inflammation in the mouth. It makes eating, drinking, and even just being comfortable extremely difficult for her. Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking.

As you can imagine, the veterinary care needed to treat this condition — including exams, medications, and likely dental procedures — is expensive. I’ve included photos of Zoe and the vet bill for transparency.

I am doing everything I can for her, but I can’t do it alone.

Zoe didn’t choose to be out on the streets, but she chose to trust me — and I want to do right by her.
