Hi! I'm Zoe, an aggressively friendly, loud, welcoming individual with a dream: to open my own Studio!
I'm creating Firestarter Ink , an extremely Queer-friendly, all bodies welcome, woman-owned private studio in the heart of Seattle's downtown Fremont. The building is safe, well-lit, and has many parking options nearby. Originally with a background in the Video Game Industry, I left that with a drive to become more single-client focused. I trained under the amazingly talented Sara Kay (@TheSaraKay) and she validated my more than I could have ever dreamed. This has led me to now.
What's The Money For?
I need a lot of finances taken care of for my initial launch, then I think the ongoing support of regular business should keep things going in a safe cadence. Up front costs include:
- Rent/Deposit
- Licenses and Insurance
- Tax Set Up
- Furniture, Shelving, Storage, Lighting, Flooring
- Initial Consumables and PPE (Needles, Tubes, Ink Cups, etc.)
- Misc. Needs like Extension Cords, Hardware
If we exceed the original goal I have some fun "stretch goal" items that I'd also like to include, such as the following:
- Upgrades to Client-facing furniture
- Microwave and Water Filter with snack service offered
- Reserved parking space through the building
- More extensive aftercare offerings
My goal is to foster a bright, fun, safe space for everyone, especially queer/fem/non-binary individuals who are also tech industry veterans. I plan to create a visual space within the studio to properly thank anyone who wishes to be acknowledged for their help in founding the space, because you are amazing and I couldn't do this without you. <3
