Hello. My name is Zoe Port and I am working towards my Eagle rank at Troop 1983. I am 15 and a Sophomore at Severna Park High School. For my project, I am restoring an old outdoor classroom at Claggett Farm, and Environmental Education Center and farm that is focused on sustainable, environmentally friendly farming. From their website "This 283-acre working farm uses regenerative agriculture practices that improve soil health and increase food and water quality. Regenerative agriculture will also be key to addressing many issues we face regarding climate change, from reducing greenhouse gases to mitigating flooding caused by more intense storms. Our climate-friendly practices help us produce food in ways that increase resilience and work with natural systems."

Its just an awesome place.

My project will be to build an outdoor classroom and restore another classroom along a quiet creekside where students from around the region can come learn. The outdoor classroom will be used to teach kids more about the environment and the Chesapeake Bay that they live near and around. This is a super important project to me because I am very passionate about the environment and being able to help the Bay. This is also a great benefit to the community because it allows the youth of all ages to learn about the environmental impact of farming and how farming can be done sustainably and this farm shows how this can happen.

I have a fundraising goal of $800 so any kind of donation support would be helpful no matter what and will allow me to be successful in every aspect of completing my project without flaws. I am planning to execute the project on October 11, so time is short. I could use your help and even if you can't donate, come out to the farm and see what we're doing and lend a hand!
