Hi! I'm Zoe Zakson, I'm in my senior year of film school at LMU and will be filming my thesis film this fall. This is the culmination of 4 years of hard work and I cannot wait to show you all what I've learned during my time here!
My film is a 70s western drama (with some comedy, of course) called "Dusty, Dirty, and Downright Diabolical" and the synopsis is as follows:
Runaway rebel Daphne Delgado arrives to the town of Desert Winds with plans to murder the man accused of killing her brother; retired cowboy and town drifter Dusty Rhodes. That is, until his charming and warm demeanor results in an unlikely romance that leaves her with second thoughts.
Filming will take place over three days (Oct. 13-15) and the final film will be around 10-15 minutes total. If you want to get an idea of my previous work, below is a link to my junior year film: https://lmu.box.com/s/4dph8hgunci21c85anmj6omugsbqxt24
All filmmaking expenses are up to us (the students) to pay for, so your donation will help me and my crew bring our visions to fruition! There is a lot that goes into making a film (even a short film!) that takes a lot of time and money to complete. Our estimated budget is around $5000, which will go toward every aspect of the filming process, and we wouldn't be able to reach that goal without your help. That being said, here is what your donation will go toward!:
-Location rentals (these can go for up to $1000/day...yikes!!)
-Food for cast and crew
-Prop/set/costume rentals
-Hair and makeup artists
-Additional camera equipment rentals
-Actor fees
-Transportation/van rental costs
-Stock footage fees
...and so much more!!
I cannot thank you enough for supporting me in my thesis project, and I cannot wait to show you all the film YOU helped me make.....Action!
