Hi everyone,
My name is Salli, and I’m reaching out for support for my sweet 5-year-old Maltipoo, Zoe Grace — lovingly known as Zozo. She’s my heart, my shadow, my little adventure buddy. If you’ve met her, you know she brings so much joy, sass, and sunshine into every room (or lap!) she enters.
Three weeks ago, Zoe underwent orthopedic surgery (TPLO) to repair a torn ligament in her left hind leg. Recovery was going okay at first, but this week everything changed. I noticed a firm, warm, and painful swelling in her lower abdomen, accompanied by a fever and sudden lethargy. After rushing her to urgent care, the doctors found an enlarged inguinal lymph node near her surgical leg and are concerned about a possible infection or even a reaction to the surgical implant.
Zoe now urgently needs an abdominal ultrasound to determine what’s going on internally. The cost is $800-1,200, which is not something I was prepared for on top of her existing surgery and recheck expenses. I’m currently out on medical leave myself and navigating a very uncertain time, both financially and emotionally. I’ve applied for financial assistance and explored every possible option, but I’m still coming up short.
If you feel called to help — whether it’s $5 or simply sharing this post — I would be forever grateful. Every dollar will go directly toward Zoe’s diagnostic care and any treatment she may need to get her back to her happy, goofy self.
Zoe is truly one of a kind. She loves sticking her head out of the car window (even in the rain!), playing fetch with her birthday cake plushie, and curling up on my lap like a little heating pad. She’s been through so much, and I just want to give her the best chance at healing and feeling like herself again.
Thank you for loving her with me. Thank you for helping us hold onto hope.
With love,
Salli & Zoe Grace
