Hey!

I’m Zoë Ebbing (they/them), and I’m reaching out because I really need help getting a car. Starting June 18th, I won’t have any reliable way to get to work — and without transportation, I risk losing the job that I just got, which I’d been praying for as the pay will help me get out of my house.

There have been a lot of tensions at home lately, and for my mental health, I’ve realized I need to leave. But I can’t do that without a car. I’ve been stuck in a cycle that’s hard to break: I lost my last job six months ago, and ever since, it’s been a spiral. I struggle with anxiety disorders and bipolar 2 & I haven’t had access to medication for two years as I lost my health insurance and am unable to apply for government assistance while at home. I’m crowdfunding to raise enough to buy a used, reliable car — not anything fancy, just a sloppy jaloppy that will get me to work, give me independence, and help me move toward a healthier, more stable life. With this job, I can move out, get insurance, and finally start to build my own life.

UPDATE: School is starting soon and I have lost my scholarship so my need for funds for a car have increased. I need a car as I don’t have reliable transportation for school and in order to have reliable transportation for work and hopefully in finding a second job.
