Help Zoe Fight Leukemia: Support Kati & Austin
Donation protected
On February 18, 2025, what began as a routine first birthday check-up for little Zoe, turned into a parent's worst nightmare. Just one day after celebrating her first year of life, Zoe was diagnosed with leukemia. Imagine the shock and heartbreak for her parents, Kati and Austin. Kati, a dedicated teacher and our beloved teammate, texted us that day, expecting a simple update. Instead, she shared the devastating news: Zoe, their happy, thriving baby girl, had leukemia.
Just a week later, on Kati’s birthday, February 26th, the unimaginable happened. Instead of celebration, Zoe faced a life-threatening infection (sepsis) and two cardiac arrests. Our sweet one-year-old was placed on life support, while birthday balloons still hung at their home.
Our community rallied, praying for Zoe’s recovery. Miraculously, by March 2nd, Zoe began to improve and was taken off life support. This was a moment of immense relief, but the fight is far from over.
Zoe's journey will be long and arduous, with an estimated two years of intensive treatment. During this time, Kati will be unable to return to work, placing a significant financial strain on their family. Unfortunately, due to an extended maternity leave, Kati is ineligible for paid leave or donated time off from her colleagues.
We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate strangers, to help Kati and Austin focus on what truly matters: Zoe’s health. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in easing their financial burden and allowing them to provide Zoe with the best possible care.
Your generosity will help cover:
• Medical expenses
• Living expenses during Kati's leave
• Any unexpected costs associated with Zoe’s treatment
Please join us in supporting Zoe, Kati, and Austin as they navigate this incredibly challenging time. Let's give them the strength and support they need to focus on Zoe's fight.
How You Can Help:
