Help Zoe feel comfortable in her skin

Hello everyone!

 

My name is Deborah and I have a story for you.

 

Early in 2021, after 11 1/2 years of marriage, my husband came to me and told me they do not feel like they are actually a man. They feel like they are a woman and would like to test the waters and see how being perceived as a woman makes them feel. She was not happy with what she saw in the mirror and wants her outsides to match how she feels on the inside. Over the past year, we have tested out different things, such as names and wigs, so she could see if the bigger changes would be worth while and help with her self image. When she realized they did help, she reached out to her doctor to start hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

 

Now she is looking into making some bigger changes with facial feminization surgery (FFS). While the HRT is covered by our insurance, FFS is not and it is not cheap in the slightest. For good results, you need a doctor who knows what they are doing and specializes in these types of transformations.

 

I love this woman with all of my heart. I always have and I always will. She has been my biggest supporter and cheerleader the entire time we have been together and I cannot imagine my life without her in it. I know many people will probably consider this type of surgery unnecessary, but when it comes to feeling like yourself, and seeing who you feel you are when you look in the mirror, it is very important.
