Zoe was born with congenital hydrocephalus, agenesis of the corpus callosum, and agenesis of the septum pellucidum. This has resulted in secondary diagnoses including spastic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Despite these challenges, Zoe has consistently demonstrated remarkable grit, determination, and resilience.
As a high school freshman, she discovered wheelchair basketball and found a community where she could participate and thrive. Although she has aged out of her high school program, Zoe recognizes the profound impact it had on her life and has chosen to volunteer as a coach for her school's expanding wheelchair basketball program.
Your support is crucial in helping Zoe acquire a customized basketball chair, which would significantly enhance her agility and maneuverability on the court. These specialized chairs are typically custom-fitted and cost between $3,000 and $4,000. As the program continues to grow, Zoe aspires to join an adult league and further develop her skills and knowledge of the game. Your donation, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated.
