Help Zoe Afford Lifesaving Treatments

Hello! I want to thank everyone so much for donating, sharing, and helping us fundraise for Zoe's care! Zoe and friends send their sincerest thanks.

I also wanted to provide some updates in regards to Zoe's care! Zoe has started seeing a new specialist and has been having some luck with transitioning to their care. However, she has been really sick in the recent colder months and has been and in and out of the hospital lately due to illness from her compromised immune system. She is trying different medications and is having to take time off work due to her current health. Please continue to share and give and provide whatever support you can so that Zoe does not fall behind in her treatment, as well as expenses like rent and bills.

Hello friends and community,

Our friend and colleague Zoe has recently been diagnosed with accelerated phase Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, which is cancer of the bone marrow and blood. She requires weekly blood transfusions that are upwards of $400+ per appointment with insurance, chemotherapy, and may require bone marrow treatments as well.

As of right now, her best option would be TKI medication, which is a medical form of chemotherapy. The medications themselves are very expensive and come with aggressive side effects, but she is exploring all options available to her. Her current treatment of weekly blood transfusions are absolutely necessary and will be needed indefinitely.

Due to this recent and surprising diagnosis, Zoe also requires help with rent and other expenses on top of her medical treatment. We are reaching out to as much of our community as we can to pull together as much financial assistance for her as possible in order to relieve some of the fear and uncertainty during this stressful time. We appreciate whatever you are able to give, and ask that you share this page with whomever you can.
