Hello,
I am Zita Ngagoum Ndalloka, a PhD candidate in Energy engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Recently, I was selected by the Women in Cleantech and Sustainability to give a TED talk at the upcoming San Francisco Climate week from April 20-27, 2025 on the topic "Designing for a circular economy", a topic I am very passionate about, as it also aligns with my PhD research. Despite being very excited about his opportunity, I was also sad to know that there is no associated funding available to me, and I was given 2 weeks to confirm my participation. For someone like me who is very passionate about renewable energy, climate change and sustainability, this is a huge opportunity for me, not to only share my perspective on the topic, but also grow professionally by learning from, and connecting with experts in the field. I believe this is a life and career changing opportunity which I wouldn't want to miss.
When sharing this with some people with the aim of sourcing for potential funding opportunities, I was encouraged to start a GoFundMe, an idea which I found interesting, and so here I am.
The support received through this initiative would permit me to cater for my travel and accommodation expenses while at the San Francisco Climate week.
I also wish to appreciate all those who will support me and assist me in achieving my goal. Thank you very much for your help.
