Help Zion walk again

On September 21, 2020 we noticed Zion was not acting his normal self when we arrived home. He could barely stand up by himself, so we rushed him to the emergency vet waiting anxiously outside for 8 hours. After some tests and blood work the vet said he had an inflamed ligament and arthritis and it could be managed by pain meds and high dose steroids. However, during the past week Zion's pain has become increasingly worse and the swelling has gotten bigger not to mention harder to manage with the meds.  Sadly his lameness is a result of cranial cruciate ligament tear ( ACL tear in humans). All of his vets believe that at this point the only way to keep Zion's pain from worsening and his quality of life from continuing to decline is to preform surgery.

As of today he has a surgical consult with the orthopedic surgeon and will be scheduled for surgery mid October. While we do not have any details on the cost based on conversations and estimates it will be roughly $6,000-$8,000.

Any help that you can provide for Zion in his quest to live a pain free and happy life is appreciated. Thank you in advance for your kindness. It means more than we can express.
