Help Ziggy recover from gunshot and femur surgery

Hi Everyone, on April 2nd our family dog Ziggy Smalls Wicker was found limping in the backyard by my mother. Upon further diagnosis the veterinarian determined that Ziggy had suffered a gunshot injury and had a bullet in his leg. He has a fractured femur and has to have surgery ASAP. He is a sweet, sweet boy and would never hurt a fly so we were quite shocked to find out what happened. All in all his surgery is going to cost over $6,600 dollars. We are asking for just a little bit of help with this little guy and using any resources possible to make this affordable.
Also if anyone has a large kennel that can be borrowed while he recovers, that would be a giant help. It would be returned as soon as he’s healed, fully cleaned. Ziggy has always been a house/backyard dog so hasn’t had one since he was a pup and we want to limit his movement during recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read and help.
