I'm not someone who gets attached to things a lot, but I liked my car. I fit in it properly, I knew its rough spots and scratches. It was paid off and even had a name: the Galileo (named because it was cubish like a Star Trek shuttle). A blue Nissan Cube.
On October 9th a car veered across the road toward where my car was parked behind another car. The veering car hit the car in front hard enough to push it into mine, crumpling my front end enough to accordion the stuff under the hood. I'm not a car guy but I know engine accordioning ain't good. Thankfully I wasn't in the car.
Insurance company is totaling the car out. I don't have ready cash for another vehicle.
So here I am. Hell, this is my birthday month. I don' t want to be asking for help during my birthday month. I want to be sucking down pie and wandering bookstores and hugging. Especially hugging.
But...
So thank you for anything and everything.
Peace,
Zig
