Help Zibi Walk Again

Zibi (Zbyszek) is a dear friend to us. In December 2020 he suddenly developed osteomyelitis of his foot, as well as extensive necrotizing fasciitis and cellulitis of his lower leg which required an emergent below the knee amputation. After 2 extensive stays at the hospital, including 3 surgeries, he is finally home and slowly recovering.  He is now facing a new life, will require a prosthesis, and extensive physical therapy. He will at least need to adjust his work as a truck driver, but will likely need extensive time before he can resume any work. 

Zibi is a golden soul. He has always been there for us and helped in any way we needed. Whether that required setting up a tv or moving a piano up 2 flights of stairs. He has been a long haul truck driver for many years, and, as is common in this line of work, developed chronic medical conditions that are not helping with his healing process.

We are supporting him in recovery, but realize he will need financial assistance as well. We are also applying for assistance care for him, however, despite no income and no prospect of income, he so far does not qualify, even though he can't even pay rent for more than 3 months with his savings.
