Hi, I’m Jimena, Zianya’s mother, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and pride. In 2020, I made the heart-wrenching decision to leave our home in Guadalajara, Mexico, and bring my daughter to the United States, seeking safety and a better future. As a single mother, every step has been a labor of love to give Zianya the chance to chase her dreams. This dream began the day she picked up a bow in September 2019 and released her very first arrow. Something clicked. Archery became more than a sport—it became her passion, her safe place, her calling. Calm yet powerful, focused yet full of joy, every arrow she shoots reflects exactly who she is. Her coaches quickly saw her natural talent, moving her into advanced training. Within a year, she was proudly competing for her home state of Jalisco. Today, in the U.S., with fewer resources but even greater determination, she has risen to become one of the best archers in her age group.

Now Zianya dreams of competing on the world stage—at World Archery tournaments, alongside the best athletes from across the globe.
