Help Ziad Haidar visit his ailing parents

Hi, my name is Rhonda Reger and I am raising money for Ziad Haidar to visit his ailing parents in Bangladesh. Ziad is a doctoral student in the management PhD program at the University of North Texas. He completed an MBA degree in the United States last summer and immediately joined our PhD program. He is going above and beyond in our doctoral program -- caring, intellectually curious, and working hard to improve himself so that he can one day improve the lives of others.
Ziad is very worried about his parents because he hasn't seen them in some time, and both have been hospitalized in the last two months. While they are home now, they both have serious, ongoing health issues. He wishes he could travel home to see them, which would bring them all great joy.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have the money to make the trip. It would be amazing if we could raise enough money so that he could also bring his wife and newborn so that his parents could meet their grandchild in person. If we raise $2000, he can fully pay for his trip; if we can raise $4000, all three will be able to travel home.
This is important to me because Ziad is exactly the kind of immigrant the United States needs. He is smart, hard working, kind, and caring. He loves America and hopes to make it his long term home. He is also developing into the type of scholar who will make UNT proud--thoughtful about ideas and thoughtful in caring about others. It is also important to me to help him because I had people, including professors and fellow students, who cared about me and supported me when I was in Ziad's shoes. I can never pay them back, but I can pay their kindness and grace forward to deserving young people like Ziad.
