I am supporting Ziad and his family in raising the funds they urgently need for medical care and basic necessities, especially for Yara, who has suffered serious injuries because of the war.

I want to share Ziad’s testimony so that his voice, and the suffering of his family, can be heard and understood during this extremely difficult time.

URGENT APPEAL: Help Save Yara and My Family

In Gaza, a little girl named Yara is facing a struggle that no child should ever have to endure.

During the war, Yara suffered serious injuries after being exposed to bombardment and dangerous substances used in attacks, including white phosphorus, according to what our family experienced in the area where we were. Since then, she has faced health problems and injuries that have made her life even more difficult. She urgently needs medical treatment, medication, and care.

But Yara is not facing this suffering alone.

My entire family is living under the weight of war, illness, injury, and loss.

My father suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and a weak heart muscle. He has also undergone an amputation of part of his foot because of his health complications. He urgently needs ongoing medical care, medication, and treatment.

My mother suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, cartilage problems, and nerve problems. She also needs regular medication and medical care.

And the tragedy has not stopped with illness and injury.

We lost my brother and my nephew during this war. They were killed, leaving a wound in our hearts that words cannot describe.

I was also injured during the war, yet I continue trying to stand beside my family and provide whatever help I can.

And now, my older brother is in the intensive care unit, fighting for his life.

We are a family exhausted by war. We have lost loved ones, some of us have been injured, our parents suffer from chronic illnesses, and our little sister Yara needs urgent treatment and care.

We no longer have a stable source of income to rely on. Even the most basic necessities have become a burden that we cannot carry alone.

We previously tried to raise funds to help our family, but the money raised for us did not reach us as it should have, and we have been forced to start again at a time when we desperately need help.

Today, we are asking you not to look away.

Yara needs treatment, medication, and food. My father needs medical care and medication because of his diabetes, high blood pressure, heart condition, weak heart muscle, and amputation. My mother needs her treatment and medication. And my older brother is in intensive care.

The funds we are trying to raise will help provide medication, medical treatment, care, food, water, and other basic necessities for our family. They may also help cover medical travel or evacuation costs if an opportunity becomes available for us to receive better medical care outside Gaza.

Every donation can make a difference.

$5, $10, $20 — any amount, no matter how small, can help us keep going.

If you cannot donate, please share our story. One share could reach someone who is able to save Yara’s life or help our family survive these terrible circumstances.

Please help Yara and my family.

Give Yara a chance to receive treatment, live, grow, and have a future like every other child.

Please do not leave us to face this tragedy alone.

There are things I want everyone to understand:

* When the war began, I was still young and was unable to complete my education because of the circumstances imposed on us by the war.

* I have lived through years of bombardment, displacement, fear, and uncertainty while trying to protect and support my family.

* We lost my brother and my nephew during this war. Their deaths were devastating and left our family broken.

* I was also injured during the war, but I continued trying to help my family.

* My father suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, and a weak heart muscle. He has also undergone an amputation of part of his foot and needs ongoing treatment and medication.

* My mother suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, cartilage problems, and nerve problems, and she also needs medical care.

* My older brother is currently in the intensive care unit, and our entire family is terrified for his life.

* My little sister Yara has suffered injuries and health problems because of the war, bombardment, and exposure to dangerous substances, and she urgently needs treatment and medication.

* I was never trying to raise money for a comfortable life. I was trying to help a family that no longer has a source of income and provide food, treatment, medicine, and basic necessities.

* All I wanted was to protect my family and save those who are still alive.

Yara’s Story

Yara is a little girl who never chose this war and never chose what happened to her.

Our family has endured bombardment, displacement, fear, and constant danger. Yara suffered injuries and health problems after the attacks and exposure to dangerous substances in the areas where we were living.

I have seen fear and pain in my little sister’s eyes while feeling helpless because I cannot provide everything she needs.

I do not want to wait until her condition becomes worse.

I want to save my sister before it is too late.

At the same time, I am trying to stand beside my sick father, my sick mother, and my brother in intensive care, while our family is still trying to live with the loss of my brother and nephew.

We are not asking for a luxurious life.

We are asking for a chance to survive.

We are asking for medicine.

We are asking for food.

We are asking for treatment.

We are asking for a chance to save our children, our parents, and the family members who remain.

I appeal to everyone who can help us: please do not ignore our story.

If you can donate, even a small amount, please help us.

If you cannot donate, please share our story with your friends, family, and followers.

Your share could be the reason our story reaches someone who can save Yara’s life or help our family.

Please do not judge us from a distance. Look at us as a family that has lost people we love, whose members have been injured, whose sick parents need medical care, and whose little sister needs help.

Yara is not just a name in a fundraising campaign. She is my little sister, a child with dreams and a life she deserves to live.

My father is not just a patient. He is my father, and I am trying to keep him alive.

My mother is not just a name in this story. She is my mother, and she needs treatment.

And my brother in intensive care is not just a number. He is my brother, and we pray every day that he will come back to us.

We have already lost my brother and my nephew.

We do not want to lose anyone else.

Please stand with us. Help Yara, help my father and mother, help my brother, and help our family survive.

Please do not leave us alone.

Every donation, every share, and every prayer can mean more to us than you know.

Please, do not let us die.

UPDATE- Thank you so much to everyone who donated so this campaign could reach 7k! I have raised the goal as yet another emergency surgery for Ziad's mother has come up. Life is Gaza requires consistent funds to survive, thank you for your continued support.
