My name is Avery, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a huge request for help. My boyfriend and I's sweet 4.5-year-old domestic shorthair, Zhaocai (which means Lucky in Chinese), has been going through a lot lately, and we're doing everything we can to help him get better.

It all started on January 18th when Zhaocai was diagnosed with a urinary blockage caused by crystals. After a few days in the hospital, he was able to come home, but unfortunately, it didn't stop there. A few days later, he had to go back because of a UTI that was developing, which he bravely fought through, even needing a blood transfusion, but we were so relieved when he bounced right back after coming home—running around, playing with toys, and being the playful cat he always was.

Slowly, that spark started to fade again, and on February 4, we had to rush him back to the vet and now learned that Zhaocai was struggling to pass blood clots through his urethra, which was preventing him from urinating properly. The only way to help him now is with a surgery called a cystotomy, which will clear the debris from his bladder so he can start passing urine normally again.

Zhaocai is so young, and he's already fought so much. We are not ready to give up on him and want him to be able to live a long, happy life full of all the things he loves.

The problem is that his treatments so far have already drained much of our savings, and now we are looking at more expenses for this surgery. That's where you come in. Any help—whether it's a donation or just spreading the word—would mean the world to us. We've poured so much love and care into him, and now we are asking for your support to get him through this last hurdle.
