Help Zeynab, a Mother Rebuilding with Her Little Family

Donation protected
My name is Zeynab. I’m a wife, a mother to a beautiful baby boy, and someone who is fighting to rebuild her life after hitting rock bottom.

I moved to Minnesota with my husband and son in hopes of finding support from my family as I battled postpartum depression. Also, to be closer to the Muslim community and more opportunities. Instead, I was met with emotional neglect, chaos, and trauma that spiraled into an incident that landed me in jail — for defending myself. I’ve since been forced out of my mother’s home, separated from my younger siblings due to a no-contact order, and left to pick up the pieces with nothing but my faith and a small suitcase.

Right now, my little family and I are homeless, staying with a friend temporarily. Our car’s registration is expired, (UPDATE:‼️ they want to repossess the car now), we have very little left for necessities or diapers, and every day is a battle to keep going. Being new to the state, it’s hard to figure out things, considering I have tons of family here. All of our things are in a storage in Saint Cloud, and our son’s crib, high chair, and toys are at that house. No one will pickup my call, no one has listened to my side of anything. I just want to get my things and figure out what’s next for my family! Allah is testing me but He created me for this! I will do what it takes for my little family! We always have been hard workers, loving our son and breaking generation trauma! My husband has a cleaning service and I am freelancing Somali interpreter but we have not got it up and running yet! Unfortunately, we have to get back on our feet! We all fall, but don’t you dare stay there!

Through it all, my husband has been by my side. He was doing DoorDash daily just to keep us afloat while applying for full-time jobs when we moved here. He’s been my rock — showing up for our son, cooking, cleaning, and supporting me through the darkest moments of my postpartum depression. This man has carried so much on his shoulders, and he continues to do it with love and patience.

I’ve had to push my pride aside and ask for help — not just financially, but spiritually and emotionally. I’m sharing this not just to raise money, but to reach the unseen, the unheard, and the broken-hearted. If you’ve ever felt forgotten by the people who were supposed to love you — I see you. And if you see me too, please consider helping in whatever way you can.

All donations will go directly toward:
• Safe housing or extended stay
• Food & baby necessities
• Get things from storage
• Car registration/Stopping Car Repossession
• Job-related needs (I have a phone interview today! My husband had 2 interviews today)
• Legal support

Every share, every dollar, every prayer — it means the world.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
May Allah bless you with ease, light, and protection.
In Sha Allah, better days are coming.
