I'm Abdallah Mahmoud Mohamed Khafaga, a high school junior at Ismailia STEM School in Egypt.

After a year of hard work, my environmental science project “Rice Husk-Derived Silica (RH-SiO2) for Effective Coagulation in Multi-Step Wastewater Treatment and Soil Amendment” was selected to represent Egypt at the GENIUS Olympiad 2025 in New York, USA, out of more than 2,700 global submissions.

I’ve received my invitation letter, completed the visa process, and I’m ready to travel to the U.S.—flights and main expenses are covered.

Now, I just need a little extra help to cover:

A domestic flight from JFK Airport (New York) to Rochester

Local transportation

Basic personal expenses during the trip
