Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My dog Zeus needs urgent CCL surgery (similar to an ACL in humans) on his knee for the second time in under a year.
Zeus is more than just a dog – he’s family. A loyal protector of our home, a loving companion to his best friend Rebel (our other dog), and the best friend in the world to our little girl, Evie. For the past two years, he’s brought joy, security, and endless affection into our lives.
Earlier this year, Zeus underwent his first CCL surgery which cost £5,550. It was a tough 6-week recovery with pain relief, anti-inflammatories, and sedation meds. Despite it all, Zeus soldiered on and was finally getting back to his normal self.
Then last night, during a light walk, he came off his lead briefly and returned home **limping and in clear pain**. He’s back at the vets today and will be seen again on Tuesday. It’s now expected that Zeus will likeky need to undergo the same surgery again on the same leg – another £5,500 cost.
Unfortunately, our insurance (Admiral) won’t cover either operation. I’ve already taken on significant debt to pay for the first surgery and simply can’t afford this second round on my own.
Zeus is only young, full of life, and with the right treatment he has many happy years ahead. Without this surgery, he’ll be left in pain, unable to walk properly, and his quality of life will deteriorate quickly.
That’s why I’m asking – if you can spare anything at all, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us. Your donation will go directly toward:
* Zeus’s surgery costs
* Post-operative medication and costs
* Recovery and aftercare costs
Please help us get Zeus back on his feet and chasing Rebel around like a lost pup.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting
— Tom, Evie, Rebel & Zeus
