Help Zeus Recover from Abuse and Neglect
Tax deductible
When we were first contacted about Zeus, the Cane Corso, we were told that he was being surrendered to us because his owner couldn't afford to feed him and had been feeding him rice. He had a limp on his left rear leg and swayed when he walked, but we thought this might be malnutrition, so we got him on a re-feeding plan and waited for him to get stronger.
At his vet visit, we discovered that he has a *broken femur*. We have scheduled Zeus's surgery, and he is on pain management until then and still manages to be the best boy and play with his foster brother.
We have no way of knowing how this happened to Zeus -- if his owner did this to him and then realized what he had done and gave Zeus away, if Zeus had an accident of some sort, and his owner knew he couldn't repair what happened.
If you believe you are seeing animal abuse or neglect, please contact the police. Many people contact us, but we are not law enforcement.
We are glad that Zeus is in our care now but sad that it had to come to this and that we need to raise $2000 for his surgery to repair what someone did to this sweet boy
