My name is Cheyenne. My spouse and I found our puppy Zeus (prior name Polo) from Pawsitively Saved Rescue. We got him back in September of 2024 after our older puppy suddenly passed. Zeus brought the happiness back into our home.

Back on July 2nd, we woke up and he had this massive lump in his throat that came out of nowhere. We took him to the vet; they were able to get some samples out of it and mentioned it was an infection. They gave us meds, and we were so happy it made it go away. Well, 4 days after the meds were gone, it came back almost double in size, so back to the vet we went again. Then they were able to examine again and now are mentioning he needs surgery for damage to his salivary gland. They said it's called salivary mucocele, which the printout they gave mentions his gland needs to be removed. They only bring in a specialist once a month for this surgery, and I don’t have the full quote yet because they are contacting the vet to reach out so we can do a consultation. But they did mention it is going to be well over $1000, which we’re already at $700 with the last 2 vet visits. Normally, I’m not one to reach out and ask for help, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. The vet mentioned if the surgery doesn’t get done, it can cause massive complications like not being able to breathe or eat properly.
